Food Prices in Traditional Markets Monitored DailyHe considered staple food prices such as egg, meat, onion, garlic, and vegetable to increase ahead of Eid. Thus he suggests SKPDs and UKPDs to intensify food operation in Jakarta during Ramadan because it really helps residents economically.
"I think cheap market that has been held in five Jakarta regions really helps residents to fulfill their daily needs," he stated.
Through cheap bazaar, Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Department offers staple foods in affordable prices such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour, meat, chicken, egg, onion, garlic, chili, and processed products from fisheries, livestock, and agriculture. This bazaar has been done 14 times in all Jakarta regions and regency until now.
Meanwhile, Perumda Pasar Jaya holds market operation in traditional markets to maintain food price stability.
